The Median Block
Arcine Studio presents Palmshore Food District, a beachfront dining and leisure destination in the UAE designed around open-air restaurants, shaded walkways, family recreation, and a lively relationship with the coast. The exterior design brings together contemporary food pavilions, local restaurant concepts, landscaped courtyards, playgrounds, and waterfront seating within a compact hospitality environment shaped by palm trees, warm light, and pedestrian movement.
PROJECT CONCEPT
The project is organized as a low-rise collection of individual dining venues arranged around a central public realm. Rather than forming a single enclosed food court, the architecture unfolds as a walkable village of restaurants, cafés, terraces, and gathering spaces. Narrow shaded passages, open plazas, and planted edges encourage visitors to move gradually through the site while discovering different dining experiences.
A mix of modern and locally inspired restaurant façades gives the development visual variety without losing overall cohesion. Timber cladding, dark metal framing, pitched roofs, glazed fronts, pergolas, and softly illuminated signage establish a warm material language suited to the UAE climate and evening hospitality culture. Deep canopies and outdoor seating areas extend each venue into the public space, allowing indoor and outdoor dining to operate as one continuous experience.
Two circular playgrounds form a colorful focal point at the centre of the development. Their placement keeps family activity visible from surrounding restaurants while separating active play from the quieter dining terraces. Palm planting, low landscape lighting, textured paving, and informal seating soften the circulation routes and create a relaxed resort-like atmosphere.
The beachfront edge expands the destination through loungers, shaded seating, and direct views toward the water. Aerial and night-time visualizations communicate the full site arrangement, visitor flow, lighting strategy, and relationship between dining, play, landscape, and the coast.
Through food court exterior design, hospitality architecture, landscape visualization, and commercial 3D rendering, Arcine Studio presented Palmshore Food District as a memorable family destination where dining, recreation, and waterfront leisure come together in one cohesive setting.
