The Active Loop
Arcine Studio presents the master planning and 3D visualization of The Active Loop, a compact active recreation park in the USA designed around cycling, skating, movement, and imaginative outdoor play. The project combines a landscaped pump track, beginner riding circuit, skills course, playgrounds, seating, and support areas within a clearly organized site beside an existing community building. Its layout creates a safe, energetic environment where different ages and abilities can participate at the same time.
PROJECT CONCEPT
Arcine Studio developed The Active Loop as a collection of connected movement zones, each offering a different pace and level of challenge. The landscaped pump track forms the visual centre of the plan, using rolling contours, sweeping turns, and planted islands to create an engaging circuit for bicycles, scooters, and skates.
Alongside it, a separate practice track introduces tighter bends, open loops, and a contrasting surface for skill development. Keeping the two tracks distinct allows beginners and more confident users to move comfortably without competing for the same route.
A miniature street circuit adds another educational layer through lane markings, crossings, junctions, and a small roundabout. This area gives younger riders a playful setting in which to practise navigation, awareness, and basic road behaviour.
Two colourful playground zones are positioned at opposite edges of the site, extending the park beyond wheeled recreation and providing activity for younger children. Seating, shaded structures, storage areas, lighting, and clear pedestrian paths support parents, spectators, and everyday operations.
The arrangement preserves open sightlines across the entire park, helping supervision while giving every activity zone a distinct identity. Through recreation master planning, active landscape design, circulation planning, and architectural visualization, Arcine Studio shapes The Active Loop as an inclusive destination where movement, learning, and social play come together within one compact and carefully coordinated environment for families and local community groups.
